Trinity College Class of 2028 Official Thread

Thank you….please keep us posted!!!

Hi - Wanted to follow up, received the following from FA at Trinity - hope this is helpful!

We are currently working on reviewing aid eligibility and creating financial aid award letters. We expect awards to be available by the end of next week. XXXXX will receive an email notification once there is more information in the portal (paper letters will be mailed home as well). If XXXXXX has not received a notification by 4/1/24, please let us know. Have a great day

Hi!! Thank you so much for the information. I think you are in same situation as us-acceptance letter with no mention of aid/merit. We will not qualify for FAFSA and really hoping for merit as Trinity is a heavy price tag. So far, we have received merit from most schools.
Do you think that response was general or geared towards you personally? I’m praying for some type of reward as it is my daughter’s 1st choice!!! Thank you again …

Trinity is very generous with need base aid. They will meet 100% of demonstrated need based on the CSS profile. You might be surprised by what is awarded. They do not give much in terms of merit. I believe any merit would have been included in the acceptance letter.

S24 was accepted RD last night. No merit, but we didn’t expect any from Trinity as it was a hard target for him. This was the 10th and last school he was hearing from, and I’m so pleased for him to get in. This complicates his decision, as he already had narrowed down his choice to two other Northeastern schools, both of which gave him good merit packages. Trinity will be full pay for us but it’s a great school. Congrats to all who were accepted. If Trinity is your first choice, would love to hear what swung the decision.

Does anyone know if the Gateway programs were included in admissions letters, or if that information is still to come?

I had the same question re the gateway programs. D24 applied for 2 and her offer letter was silent. Maybe it gets set after people commit.

okay. good to know. She was thinking it was a no, but it sounds like–just like financial aid–it’s no information yet. Soon and soon.

Did anyone receive a FA package in the mail?

My kid got it in the portal today. I haven’t seen it yet. She thinks it’s good but I’ll decide when I’ve seen it with my own eyeballs.

That’s wonderful news!!! We unfortunately did not…

I’m interested in this too! My D got into Trinity and two other reaches, and is trying to figure out which one works best. I’d love to hear from others about what swung your decision. We’re visiting next week. Visiting the other finalist tomorrow.

Congrats! What are your two other schools? I think that makes a big difference.

My S24 had psychologically narrowed down his final two choices (both EA acceptances from last year) and then got into Trinity and Providence this month. I am encouraging him to keep an open mind so we are seeing Trinity on Apr 19 and then doing admitted students day for the other two schools back to back on Apr 20 and Apr 21. At this point, we’re leaving it up to him to visit the three schools and ascertain which one feels right. He has to make a decision by May 1 (thank goodness). Good luck to you and your D24! Congrats on her acceptances.

anyone heard from waitlist yet?

does anyone know if there is grade inflation or deflation at trinity?

D24 has not committed yet but was notified she was accepted into the inter-arts gateway program. This is definitely helpful for her decision.

Did anyone get off the Waitlist yet?
