Hello , I’m preparing for my 2025 fall application to Trinity colleges and would like to ask for your help in evaluating my chances of admission, as well as any points I need to pay attention to.

Here’s my background: I come from a low-income family and my growth environment hasn’t been ideal. Applying for financial aid is important for me. Academically, my GPA is only recorded as “Pass”—there are no specific numerical scores.

Extracurricular activities are the main part I want to share, and there are four specific ones. I’d like to hear your thoughts on whether these can boost my application:

1. Self-founded study group: I established and maintained it for two years, with quite notable results—all members eventually got into their target colleges. There were quite a few disagreements during the process.
2. Providing planning advice to peers: Based on my friends’ interests and my understanding of social trends, I offered them advice on life planning and career development directions.
3. Interviews and online questionnaire survey: Following the need to provide career advice, I first interviewed friends around me and wrote a report on whether they had clear career-related directions. Later, I also distributed an online questionnaire to collect information.
4. Interdisciplinary research paper framework: One night, I got inspiration from topics related to domestic violence. I independently developed and wrote a research paper framework that integrates the underlying logic of 6 disciplines—neuroscience, psychology, sociology, economics, communication studies, and public policy. I can guarantee that its logic is extremely solid.

I’d like to ask everyone: Given my situation, what are my chances of getting into Trinity college especially when I need financial aid? Additionally, are there any adjustments or supplements needed for my experiences to make me more competitive? Thank you all for your suggestions!

Suggest you do a “Chance me” thread and include the detail they ask for like classes, scores, school, etc.

Can’t help without more info.
