I went through and looked at previous years’ Towers decisions, and it seems like they came out Monday-Wednesday 9-11 days after the competition. That means tomorrow, maybe! Good luck, everyone!

My daughter Interviewed for the BD Theater Scholarship during Towers weekend Feb 8th. They told her that it would be mid March before she would hear back. Was your daughter interviewing for stage or tech?

Thanks for the info. about the BD Theater scholarship. My daughter applied for the stage/ acting scholarship. She sent in an audition tape, since we live in Maryland. She was accepted into the university Early Action, with a merit scholarship and then decided to apply for the additional theater scholarship. I wonder how many students receive the BD scholarship.per year. It certainly is a wonderful opportunity.

Sadly, not my daughter. She loves this school so much. We knew it was a long shot but got the official no on the tower scholarship tonight.
Nope. Not here either. It’s a tough format that seemed almost like a lottery from D20’s perspective.

I just thought I’d check in here out of curiosity since my daughter was a winner last year and, as a result, is now attending Trinity and is quite happy with her choice.
The academics at Trinity are very rigorous, which can be stressful, but most classes are small and professors accessible and helpful and there are ample other support resources. The facilities – especially science center / labs – are absolutely top notch. The dorms are new, very big, clean and nice. Daughter loves San Antonio and Texas in general (we are from the Midwest). People there are very friendly and hospitable. Despite being fairly introverted, she’s made plenty of friends and gotten involved with lots of clubs / activities.
Although Trinity was not even on our daughter’s radar for most of her college search process (she visited 15 schools and applied to 20) it’s turned out to be a very good fit for her. As our S22 begins his search, Trinity definitely will be high on his list!
@noserfdom what is annual cost for Murchison winners best you can tell?

The Murchison award was $26k last cycle vs. tuition and fees of $44,680 plus room and board of about $13,600 this year. We just got a letter that tuition will go up 4% next year but R&B will stay the same. Not sure if the Murchison award this cycle is still $26k.

Not according to my admission officer, but Trinity will work with you on an individual basis.
