Basically, I was admitted to both USC and UCSD. Eventually, I want to apply to med school and currently am planning on majoring in neuroscience/neurobiology thus research opportunities would be great. Share some opinions of which school is better and why…Thank you.

There are some ups and downs to both schools, but I seriously think that the ups associated with USC (that is, connections) pertain more to business and law, not medicine.

ucsd is REALLY GOOD for neuro-related research…you should really have no problem trying to find research opportunities here. I’m not sure how USC’s neuroscience is at all…honestly i would choose ucsd unless you don’t like la jolla, you would rather go to a “real” party/sports school, or as stated previously you want to have good alumni connections…but it’s your choice!

UCSD-cheaper. nice weather, nice area etc., but very good education
USC-more expensive, a more real college experience, good sports teams.

i don’t think u can go wrong with either, but i would probably take UCSD for the fact that it’s cheaper and it’ll be easier to focus. However, if you like sports and you want that experience, you’re more likely to get it at USC.
