Joisonfire r u a cali resident?

Emily, that’s so awesome! I’d love to work with a great actress too, of course. What kind of films have you acted in? Do you direct as well?

Hi Eiffel–good to see you here!

My daughter applied to the BS-to-MS-Occupational Therapy program at USC.

We’re from Santa Cruz.

Fight on! :)

My daughter’s list. Not sure about the order anymore: :)

Indiana University-Bloomington–accepted–IU Distinction Scholarship $9,000 a year
USC
Cal Poly SLO
UCLA
UC Davis
University of the Pacific–accepted - Regents Scholarship $10,000 a year
University of Alabama–accepted -UA Scholarship 2/3 tuition
UC Berkeley
Stanford
CSU Chico (I made her apply as a total safety–won’t attend)

My daughter wants to audition for and join an a cappella group. She also expressed interest in a sorority. Maybe a service club or one pertaining to her major of Occupational Therapy. So much to choose from! :)

Eiffel asked:

New question: What extracurriculars would you guys want to partake in at USC?

Awesome name! My parents were very progressive when they named ME—> Lindsay… exactly 59 years ago TODAY, January 16th. :)

Um, hello. My name is Lindsay, and I’m a USC-aholic.

@2leashes, thanks! Great to see your daughter applied here as well. Does your daughter want to join the SoCal VoCals? I kind of would like to but I think they might be out of my league. :-/ I just sing for fun and don’t have any professional training, though people have told me I’m a good singer. I kind of want to start a country/pop a capella, haha…

Yes funnypunjabi, I am a so cal resident!! Just 45 minutes away from USC’s campus!

Anybody else here apply for scholarship consideration?

I did! Oh, gosh, how I’d love to get an acceptance in a couple weeks and be interviewed for a scholarship…gah, it’s nerve-racking!

I know! I was just talking to my best friend last night and realized that if decisions are mailed the same time as last year then there’s only one more week!! Of course I don’t have the test scores for consideration and she doesn’t have the GPA. But we’re keeping our fingers crossed!

I also applied for scholarship consideration but with only a 31 ACT I’m not sure how I’ll do!

Lets all hope we get acceptances in the coming weeks!

thats would awesome, an acceptance letter:)
i would take part in marshall student government and indian association,
what about you guys?

Eff-I will PM you with my stuff, since it is pretty self identifying if I post it. hehehehe. Not sure where I will land for school, yet, but it would be so awesome to be able to act with great talent on the west coast.

I applied for scholarship consideration, but probably won’t get anything. My SAT meets the average but it’s not insanely high or anything like that. But I am a URM, and have pretty good stats and ECs, so it’s possible that they could give me a small award. Doubt it though.

Did anyone here apply to a college just for the heck of it? Cornell was mine. I have no intentions of going there, I just wanted to see if I can get in. It’s not very good for my major.

dont they only have a limited amount of scholarships

Yeah, I applied to Columbia just for the heck of it but I have absolutely no chance. Just thought I needed an Ivy league :p

i did one ivy league to STANFORD, if i get that would cool

but USC is still awesome!!!

What other schools did you guys apply to?
I applied to:
Pitzer College, Pomona College, Claremont Mckenna College, Occidental, Drexel(accepted), NAU(accepted), Columbia(lol), and Cal Poly Pomona as a safety. and of course USC!!!
