Apparently my school is still being really slow with sending out transcripts because the one my counselor said got sent out first still hasn’t been received.
I think I might have to check up on that soon.

So I only got provisionally accepted into a CSU, but I decided not to send in my test scores and transcript because it’s probably not worth it. That was a major safety…
But if all the other schools reject me because they get my transcripts too late or something, the state school’s admissions are open until May. Only thing is the whole budget cut thing is kind of hitting hard.

Still waiting on six schools…

I think it would be fun if they sent messages in morse code. Or binary. And then everyone would be stressing because they (probably) can’t understand it straight up.
Which is pretty mean for stressed out seniors, but…well, it would be more interesting? =P

So perhaps all applications for internationals are coded the same and thus come by Fed Ex with the email advice, even though the applicant’s mailing address may be in the US.

Ok, USC family. I received USC my acceptance today-I live in NC-via snail mail-I am very excited, and it is into the Verterbi School. It has no mention of scholarship consideration, which i really need to attend. I am clueless about this, but do any of you know if you are being considered for a scholarship, does USC usually let you know as part of the admissions packet or at a later date?
Thanks a million!!! :-)

Notification comes in the mail about a week later. Check out all these threads and you’ll find some helpful hints about finding out your scholarship status online. Congratulations!

I am a sophmore at Cal State Long Beach and I am applying to transfer USC. I have a 3.936 and I am involved in a couple clubs and I am in an internship, but my personal statement isnt very good at all. Do you think I have a chance?? Also, would anyone be willing to look over my ps before I submit it? Thank you and Good luck to all!!

hi guys! I’m friends of Eiffel and also a big USC hopeful!

I was born in Korea and came to America when I was 11… yeah English is pretty much my second language and I am classified as an International student even though I have been in America for good amount of my teenage years (approaching 6 years total).

I do not have top-notch credentials. SAT: 2040 (1330 math-reading), ACT: 30 (10 writing), GPA: 4.2-ish weighted I think. I am within the 13% of my school class, kinda close to top 10% but still I am having better senior year so far though. Our school does not have 10 point grading scale so it is harder to obtain A or B’s. I hope that gets into the factor.

Other schools I pretty much care about are Rice (my next top choice. my Rice interviewer really liked me but the odds are still against me pretty much), Duke (not too much of a top choice but would be nice and shiny if I get in) and University of Maryland (already accepted and got into CP Scholars. I am really familiar with the school itself pretty much living in Maryland and having to attend their summer program in consecutive summers).

right now I have been getting very nervous on the notifications. Everyday I check my mailbox and see that I do not have anything from USC, I wish that they would still give out acceptance letters in late march.

one positive thing about my chance is that I did meet one of their admissions officers last October (for some reason USC was the only school from west coast that came all the way to our school in Maryland. I love it) and we had a very good talk about the school and application process. I was then tutoring another student from local public school and she had told the same officer that I was helping out her on studying, which might give the officer the sense of personal quality. I just feel like I could have done more on essay to reveal more about myself (I talked about my encounter with creative writing and dealing with English as a second language)

I hope I get in and have a great time there and the same goes for all of you Trojan hopefuls of this website! :)
