Trojans vs. Tritons...

Basically, I was admitted to both USC and UCSD. Eventually, I want to apply to med school and currently am planning on majoring in neuroscience/neurobiology thus research opportunities would be great. Share some opinions of which school is better and why…Thank you.

I have a cousin that goes to UCSD and absolutely loves it. Education IS what you make of it, but if you’re looking for a more low-key school, SD is the way to go. I, however, would reccommend SC over any school.

cali-blondie --“D” is currently at USC, pre-med track, neuroscience major, and army ROTC. She can hardly come up for air. While she didn’t consider UCSD, she chose USC over UCLA and CAL. She is very, very happy with her choice; however made that choice only after visiting all 3. I suggest you visit them both. The decision may be eaiser than you think.

Also, USC has some awesome neuroscience professors and seem to be getting stronger and stronger in that major. I don’t think you could go wrong at either one.

If you’re looking at med school, UCSD would definitely be the better choice.

Not necessarily. It will likely be significantly more difficult to maintain good grades at UCSD and that could hurt when the time comes to apply to grad school.

USC is also a much much more social school. That could either be a positive or negative depending on your personality.
