I am going to be in Chicago around June 7th for a week to help my DD to furnish her apartment (just one room). What is the best place to rent a small truck? as we expect to move a few furnitures that a compact car rental will not do. In the mean time, we are going to have some fun in the city.

I’ll be there at the same time!

where are you buying the furniture? we just did that but used ikea’s home delivery and zip car. worked great

don’t know yet, but most likely a sofa/couch, desk/chair and a bed with mattress.

we used a mattress store that delivered and ikea home delivery. what we paid was less than renting a small u haul. we were in the, north area of chicago, pm if you want details

Thanks mune, will contact you when time is closer. We will be in the Hyde Park area.

Any more suggestions?

UChicago has an on-line want ad board and there are usually truck owners offering to help people move. Check it out.
