Try a problem from the Korean College Entrance Exam

Math sections are extremely hard (i cludes vector geometry, calculus, etc; harder problems of the test are harder than calc BC and anologous to AIME problems).

But what about the English section? Since it’s not their native language, one would expect it to be easy for native English speakers, but it’s harder than what most people think. Here are three problems you can try:

What do you think?

You know the funny thing is, the korean Standardized Test (수능) has only 230 problems, while the SAT has 170. Considering how seniors literally study for the 수능 their entire lives, it isn’t so huge in terms of quantity (as expected to be).

You need at least a 390/400 (400 = maximum # of points) to get into SKY universities… so you can only get, quite literally, only 1-3 problems incorrect on the ENTIRE 230 PROBLEM TEST.

EDIT: Gonna try those questions out, and see how it goes

FYI for those who don’t know what SKY universities are, they’re Seoul National University, Korea University, and Yonsei University—The Big Three in Korea. The Korean standardized test are ridiculously insane according to my friends and brothers. While the SAT is taken multiple times throughout the year, these students have only one shot to show colleges their abilities. Really, really blessed how we take the SATs several times prior to submitting our scores.

Aren’t most countries allowed to take national exams just once a year normally though?
