Hi everyone,
I recently received a mailing from Culver about the Batten Scholarship and I’m thinking about applying. I researched a little about the school’s reputation and read some reviews by parents and students and it seems like a school i would enjoy.
The problem is my parents aren’t really sold on the idea of me attending a boarding school. Does anyone have any suggestions about how I could convince them to let me at least apply??

Thanks

Here is a good starting place for you and them:

[TABS: Top College-Prep Independent Boarding Schools Directory](http://www.schools.com)

and, a bit down the page, click on the link that says “the truth about boarding school.”

Good luck!

that’s excellent
thanks for your help

I don’t know where you live – but generally a visit to a boarding school in the area (even if it isn’t one you are considering) is a good way to start a discussion on the merits of attending a boarding school.
