Trying to decide? Talk to current Juniors

@Happytimes2001 made a comment in another thread that I think is worth elevating to a comment to the entire community here:

In a time of covid, the best people to talk to about schools are current students, especially juniors.

As a parent of a junior, I can tell you they are keenly aware that next year they will be the only ones on campus that have spent an entire “normal” year at their schools. They know that they are the ones, as seniors next year, who will be largely responsible for setting the tone, culture, and carrying on traditions. Seniors always are critical to defining the school community, but next year there will be more work to do than usual.

I expect all of the schools are doing a good job connecting current students with prospective students and their families right now. Regardless of grade, current students are great to talk to. But if I were looking at schools right now, I would seek out juniors to ask questions about what they think sets their school apart, what they think is especially important to know, what would they change, what they love, etc. As future school leaders, what do they think an incoming student should know?
