Trying to decide

I’m currently a freshman enrolled a Kennesaw State University. It’s still my first semester, but I feel like I will have good grades by the end of the year (most likely nothing less than a 3.75 with a definite chance at something closer to a 4.0).

I want to transfer to a college in New York City next year, reasons being that I’ve always wanted to go up there eventually and that I have a close friend up there to live with… Anyways, I was looking into colleges to transfer to in the City and was having trouble making up my mind.

As of now, my intended major is Biochemistry. But it’s not set in stone and I really just want to major in something that will help me with the MCAT at least a little.

To be honest, the only college that I know much about is NYU… And I know that they have a great med school, one that I plan on applying to for my post-grad… but I don’t really know much about the other schools in the city. What school would be the best for a major in biochem, biology, chemistry or something like that? Would me going to a specific school help my chances at getting into NYU’s med school?

Could you get good grades like you expected at Kennesaw State University?

Good grades and MCAT are needed for admitting to any med schools.
