I am filing with a parent who has not done their taxes in the past several years and am wondering what I should put for the taxes portion; plan to file, or don’t intend to file?
Is there one option that is better for me?

If they are not required to file then you can put don’t intend to file. If they are required to file then you will have to put plan to file, and then they will actually have to file. You will not get any financial aid if they do not file (and are required to).
