Hello, I am trying to get into Penn State Summer Session for 2009, does it look like I have what it takes to get admitted into the LEAP program. I am either going in undecided or as an education major.
1510/2400 on the SAT’s (taking them again)
3.72 GPA
10 Honors and AP classes
Extracurriculars such as Student Council, Varsity Club, Debate Team, etc.
Volunteer at local pet shelter and cancer bike ride

Do you think I can get in now even though i have yet to take the SAT’s again?

really? i know some people who got in with an SAT score below 1000. I was just seeing if it was worth taking the SAT’s again. I would check that stat of probably needing an 1800 again

Not to main campus. I don’t know anyone that got in with that low of a score, and I often ask people. I really don’t think you can get in with that low of a score, even with the SAT being 1/3 decision. Your grades are great, but you need to get that SAT score up.

i definitely know people who’ve gotten in with similar SATs and way worse GPAs. most don’t take any honors classes. but i come from a school where like, everyone goes to penn state. so yeah.

make sure you’ve got other schools on your list, but good luck!
