Trying to Narrow Down Schools

Hey everyone! So, I made a big list of schools that I can see myself attending, but my parents said that I can only apply to seven, tops, because of the price of application.

I’m looking for a school that has that traditional college feel, you know? I definitely want good academics (which are all of the schools on my list), but a big athletic (I LOVE watching sports, though I’m not too great at them xD) and social scene. The distance from home doesn’t matter. Also, I plan on being a journalist.

These are my stats:

SCHOOLS:
Stanford EA (already applied)
Duke
USC
UMich
Georgetown
UNC-CH
Northwestern
Vandy
NYU (legacy)
UCLA
Berkeley
Boston College
Penn State

Out of your schools, I’ve been to Georgetown, Northwestern, Penn, and NYU. I’m applying to the first three, they’re beautiful, traditional campuses, in great areas. NYU is also in a great place, but it’s awfully big and a less centered campus than the other three, it’s really integrated into the city’s buildings, which was a turnoff for me. It might be a bit easier to get into than the other three though (or at least Georgetown and Penn), so you might want to keep it on your list!
