Trying to transfer for engineering...

<p>I’m trying to transfer to Purdue University for engineering and my prerequisite classes were going well until this semester. I am doing poorly and it looks like I will have to retake Calculus II before I can apply. I have a D and the class is nearly half over.</p>

<p>My question is, what looks worse on an application?

  1. Withdraw (passing), retaking Calculus II and getting an A.
  2. D (maybe C) in Calculus II, retaking it and getting an A.</p>

<p>Essentially, does withdrawing look worse?</p>
