Hello, i am currently a sophomore at Humboldt State University, and am trying my absolute hardest to get my grades up to a 4.0 so I can transfer to Berkeley for the fall. I am working so hard to make up for my freshman year grades were were nothing special. On the website it says that the application is not officially due till November 30th. What should I be doing in the mean time? What is different about a transfer application? I really have no idea where to start or who to talk to about this. Basically an Ivy league has always been out of the question for me, but I would still really hope to get into ucb, since it is so close to my home.
Where should I even start?

You want to start off with starting a UC application as the filing period has begun. Then you want to check out assist.org and look up your major at UCB and see if you’ve satisfied the requirements for transferring. The classes that you haven’t you better take next semester. Work on your personal statements and your application and beyond that be a beast in your classes. It seems a little close to to the deadline to decide to transfer but the best of luck to you
