  • “Volunteered” at local newspaper. Worked with editor, photographers, and wrote an article over the span of a full work week.</p>

<p>Misc:

  • took 2 extra classes online because they weren’t offered at my school: Latin 3 honors and AP Latin; got a 100 as final grade in latin 3, and have a 97 now in AP.
  • took Art Appreciation and Microeconomics through local community college, got As
  • also took Neurobiology and Intellectual Property through Harvard, but got Bs in both of them.
  • I’m an out-of-state white male, no legacy, highest parent education: some college</p>

<p>why do you “doubt it”? if your essays and recs are really good you have a great chance of getting in.</p>

<p>Editor of the newspaper is a great EC, far more impressive than NHS membership. Chicago will like your mastery of Latin, too. In/out of state doesn’t matter. Apply!</p>
