Please comment about TASP and Harvard’s acceptance and what chances I have :). possibly

I’m from Delaware too, most probably from a very similar area. TASP has an admit rate around 6.5%. I can’t really tell from your stats if you’d be a good fit for TASP because it seems as if it’s just about creative thinking and quirkiness rather than stats of any kind. Additionally, if you’re going to Boys’ State, make sure it wouldn’t conflict with TASP. And Harvard wise, browse around this forum and you’ll get a good feel for your chances. To me, it sounds like you have solid stats but haven’t done anything particularly exceptional so your chances are about average. Standardized test scores are immensely important especially SAT II’s which most people tend to forget about. Base should be 700+ for each section of SAT and 750+ for subject tests if you want to be a strong candidate.

So the TASP program bases candidates off of unique characterisitics and qualities. I am very fond of TASP and I know people from the program, that is one reason why I would like to go there, but if I like Harvard, woulf Harvard’s summer program look better than TASP.

Definitely not. TASP is probably 30x more prestigious than Harvard SSP.

1) Prestige shouldn’t really matter for TASP. It’s a bonus, really (or so I’ve heard)
2) Harvard SSP has almost 0 prestige. TASP is like RSI or even MOP in prestige (which is very very high).

However, apply to both. I believe TASP has only a 5% acceptance rate, while Harvard SSP is around 70% (yea, you see how it’s more prestigious)

wait, does Tasp consider our stats ?
I thought we were mostly evaluated on essays

5% acceptance rate. wow, do I even have a chance for TASP. IS TASP application process even more difficult than Harvard’s?
