Tuck takes top honors in The Wall Street Journal ranking

<p>HANOVER, N.H. - The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth returned to the winner’s circle as the #1 business school in this year’s Wall Street Journal/Harris Interactive ranking, up from #3 last year. Tuck also took the top honors in 2001 and again in 2002. </p>

<p>According to the Journal, “These rankings measure how appealing the schools are to recruiters—the buyers of MBA talent. The survey is based on opinion and behavior of 3,267 MBA recruiters who were asked to rate schools with which they had recent recruiting experience.”</p>

<p>The top five schools include Tuck, University of Michigan, Carnegie Mellon, Northwestern University, and Yale University.</p>

<p>Forbes ranked Tuck #1 in the magazine’s biennial ranking of MBA programs in the U.S. and abroad. The survey compared 111 schools according to the return on investment students can expect from attending their MBA programs.</p>

<p>Apparently, U.S. News came out with their rankings recently and Tuck placed 9th. I swear these things are completely arbitrary. Like they feed names into a random number machine or something.</p>

<p>WSJ ranking is well-known as very arbitrary. It only looks at one aspect of the degree, USNEWS looks more wholistically.</p>
