Tufts Class of 2028 Official Thread

My daughter had the same decision. She chose Tufts because part of what was important to her was the walkability and safety of her college experience. When we visited Johns Hopkins the guide was clear that you shouldn’t leave campus alone or at walk around it at night.

You can’t go wrong but I think the advising at Grinnell is particularly strong. Also, Grinnell is one of the wealthiest schools in the country, which can make a difference in terms of resources and opportunities.

Son was accepted to Tufts and we have no idea how that happened. Some EC’s, but nothing special. Test optional, 6 APS, good essays, 4.0 unweighted. Congrats to all.

Accepted RD
Major: Biochemistry
UW: 3.579
W: 3.877
SAT: 1480
I completed 5 APs so far. ECs were decent, but nothing crazy. I was president of one club and a member of a few others, plus I was a volunteer math tutor at my school. For my supplements, I talked about the significance of my name and why Tufts was a great fit.

Wait list is not ranked. Just a big pool of qualified people. No telling what exactly they were looking for when someone gets off WL.

That might have been me! got off the waitlist tuesday for the dual-degree program. I submitted my LOCI the day it opened.

congrats!!

Congratulations! any tips that you think helped? did you write a LOCI? did you reach out to the regional rep?

All I did was send a LOCI, since it was required to stay on the waitlist. I also included a copy of my recent grades. That’s all. And a lot of waiting, lol! Nearly sent my LOCI a month ago today

Does anyone think accepted students off the waitlist will get an acceptance package?
