Teams from Tufts came in second and third to Stanford in a nationwide baseball analytics competition (which is much better than the Boston Red Sox are doing this year)

Tufts might have done even better if the Boston Red Sox had provided a judge (like the San Francisco Giants did) or if the Red Sox hadn’t grabbed Pablo Sandoval from the Giants in free agency… 
Apparently some contestants from previous years have found employment with major league clubs.
