Which college is better for poli sci/econs? I am choosing whether if I should apply ED to Tufts or NYU as a sport recruit. I do want to go to college in Boston but I wanna work in NYC. Do employers in NY know Tufts well?
In a nutshell, yes. Tufts has plenty of cache in NY and has good poli sci and econ departments. If you want to be in Boston, you will be happy with that choice. And their sports teams are generally good… a plus for an athlete.
Tufts is one of the top schools for poli-sci and is definitely very respected and well-known on the East Coast.

Tufts wins out and has more prestige than NYU at the undergraduate level, with notable exceptions being business, math, music/art/theatre.
