Tuition Payment- Covid Situation

Would you pay now or wait for tuition payment until due date deadline, in case a national lockdown or something keeps college closed?

I always waited until the deadline. I don’t like to give my money away before I absolutely have to. In this situation, I think waiting makes sense.

I would like to believe that the college / university’s bursar offices would (should) stay up to date on announcements (payment due dates extended, reimbursements, etc)…

Tricky times

I would wait, why give your money away in advance?

Just checking, is this a routine tuition payment or a deposit to accept a place in the class.?

Thank you. I was asking for tuition payment for an existing student. I’ll wait though with online classes, covid surge is not likely to be an issue.

I paid the payment due on January 20th a few days ago. One less thing to continue to think about. It’s paid now, no worries.

We always pay when it’s due, COVID or not.

I too prefer to pay ahead when possible or it keeps bothering me. It saves me from paying late fee as well.

I always wait until it’s due (one is due next week and one not until Feb since they aren’t going back until then) and there most likely won’t be a national lockdown so I wouldn’t be planning on that. Many schools have already gone back and more are going soon. If anything it’ll just be remote, but Biden has already said he isn’t going to do a national lockdown and many people have said we would’ve done one by now if we were going to do it. Biden also has an agenda to get k-12 schools open within his first 100 days in office, so that goes completely against a national lockdown.

I paid when due. D has already chosen to do her last semester virtually :frowning:
