I posted this on the Chance Me Forum but thought I would go to the individual schools as well. First time on CC but have been lurking here for a bit. Would appreciate any feedback on my chances for Tulane!

Appreciate any & all feedback - thanks! Bump!

I think you will get in just fine. The upward trend in grades is hugely positive, and the rest is right in Tulane’s range. You might get offered some merit money as well. That is harder to say. Just show strong interest if Tulane is truly one of your top choices. Do a thoughtful essay, go to local Tulane events, visit campus if possible.

Thanks FallenChemist. There is an event that I am going to attend in the next few weeks. Have been trying to get to the campus for an official admissions visit but can not seem to work the schedule. I have been many times to the campus and it is awesome! Also, I am a Tulane legacy (not sure if they care about that) so I know a lot about the school!

Legacy isn’t a major factor but it sure doesn’t hurt!

Your chances look pretty good, I’d say. No in for sure, but definitely likely(:

Can y’all chance me for Tulane, and my other schools? Emory and Tulane are my top two choices(:

My daughter had a lower gpa and SAT than you, but similar courses and extra-curriculars, and she was accepted SCEA last year. Also, the ratio of males to females at Tulane is approx 46/54% so guys may have an edge in acceptance this year to help even things up! I think you will be fine. Good luck.

jkhei311 - thanks for your comment - very helpful.

I can’t figure out how to start a thread. So, has anyone heard yet?

Nope. As of today, my application has been “under review” for a week. I’m so ready to find out.
