@Bayeriffic I agree with you. I’ve seen the 80% ED acceptance rate stated twice on this thread. I don’t know how it was started but it’s grossly inaccurate and misleading to future applicants. As stated above, it was around 30% last year. I’ve heard it was lower this year but we won’t really know until the stats are released.
I really do not understand the negativity around expressed interest. Why wouldn’t a school want to admit students who truly want to attend their school? I understand it’s disappointing to be denied admissions but Tulane like many other schools could fill their freshman class many times over with qualified candidates. It stinks to be denied but it doesn’t make those whom Tulane found to be a good fit any lesser of a student.
