I got in!!! Im so excited!! What a day to tell us that we’re in! Happy Holidays Everyone!! See y’all in NOLA!
If anyone would like to see their merit scholarships offers now, they are on the Gibson portal under the financial aid tab. I got 32k a year!!! 35 ACT 108/100 W GPA
I just got accepted but how do I get to the gibson portal?
@panic2017 I went to Gibson online site, entered the login info I’ve been using to check my status, but it says invalid info
Edit: I requested the info sent (the forgot password button)
Got 32k/year as well
@errate16 @2021Hopeful I just clicked forgot my info and then entered my email. They email you your username and password. For me it was a bunch of random letters and numbers
@panic2017 yep just found out … got 32k a year as well
@2021Hopeful Congrats!!!
How did you find out about your scholarship? My portal isn’t updated, so all I have is that email. I’m out of town so I can’t check the mail
Also, I CANNOT BELIEVE I GOT IN. I didn’t even complete the supplement. I almost feel guilty for taking a spot.
Can y’all post your stats? My daughter still hasn’t heard anything. Very frustrating…
@apocalypsedreams if you go to the Gibson Portal (it’s different from the one you use to check your application status) and click forgot username/password, they’ll email you your username and password. Use that to log in and find your offer under the financial aid info. It should be updated. Mine has my aid but not my acceptance decision too
Here’s my stats

Weaknesses: GPA
Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: My essays were extremely unique. I also showed a lot of demonstrated interest by visiting and contacting my admissions officer
Where else you are applying or have already applied: Penn, USC (California), Villanova, Boston College, Penn State, Fordham, BU, UCSB/UCLA/Cal, Pitt (accepted), OSU (accepted)
General Comments/Advice/Hindsight: Don’t be afraid to write an essay outside the box!! My GPA/ACT weren’t spectacular, and I think what really got me in were my essays. They were unlike anything anyone who read them had seen before and many people told me my common app essay was the best they’d ever read.
Good luck to everyone still waiting on a decision!
@2021Hopeful Do you go to a competitive school then? Most of the kids in my school don’t even go to 4 year colleges.
