They publish “By February 15th”. You can follow them on social media and they have a pretty good track record of posting the day before “expect notifications by X:00 tomorrow”.

Thank you for this info, it’s so helpful. Somewhere in the posts above, a member speculated that Tulane favors test-optional candidates so the school’s mid-50 SAT/ACT stats look highly selective (i.e., submitting works against you unless the score is very high). As a result, more and more applicants don’t share test scores, which gives Tulane fewer opportunities to compare students against an objective rubric that isn’t influenced by a high school’s curriculum difficulty/grade inflation. My son did submit his scores, but it looks like he was just barely within last year’s 50% band above. That might have turned out to be the wrong strategy! (He was deferred from EA to RD.) Impossible to know for sure, but it’s an interesting choice point.

This suggests they were utilizing the test scores pre-covid. I don’t know if they were or not but if they were finding the tests as an accurate metric of potential outcomes for the student they would have likely gone back to test required. Many of these schools have regional admissions counselors reading the applications and I would imagine they get a pretty good feel for the quality of school X versus school Y independently of a standardized test.
One of the most frustrating aspects of college applications is whether you get in or not you’ll never really know why/why not.

I have no direct experience with Spring Scholars. It seems to go one of two ways for kids based on what I see on the parents FB page and there was thread here some time back on it. Either they love it - study abroad, make friends with the other Spring admits, etc etc or they feel like they missed out on Freshman Orientation and the ability to make friends first semester in NO and if the student intends to pledge that happens when the Freshmen come back for 2nd semester.
That’s why many spring admits rent apartments on the outskirts of campus first semester and take classes at Loyola which is right across the street. Credits easily transfer over and they are part of the Tulane community right from the jump
I certainly understand how that can get you close(ish) to the Tulane community but you’re not living in the dorms, not eating in the LBC and unless your register for some classes at Tulane, your classmates are at Loyola. Not to say you don’t interact with some Tulane students in passing but the Spring admit would really need to go out of their way to socialize with the Tulane community. If the Spring Admit student were that much of an extrovert already, they’re likely going to succeed socially regardless of the dynamic. My $0.02.

Going back to your earlier post i suspect your trajectory helped but they also consider a lot of thing other than GPA.
Does anyone know when the full-tution merit awards will be announced? The Tulane website states late February. Is that still the case and has anyone posted about being awarded DHS+ yet?
