Tulane Finance Program?

I am a rising senior and am interested in Business, particularly in Finance or Accounting. I have heard that Tulane has an impressive Finance program, but can't find many details on it. I saw that the graduate program was ranked in the top ten, but I would like to know how the undergraduate program ranks. Does anyone know how the Finance program ranks compared to other competitive undergraduate business programs?

Good luck!

Thank you, this helps a lot, but do you know of any lists ranking specifically undergraduate finance programs?

I am not aware of one. Maybe US News? It seems most of the specialty rankings you find deal with graduate programs.

It's exceptionally difficult for US News or anyone else for that matter to rank programs at the undergrad level because little research is done and there is such a wide variety of majors. Even where there are rankings for those, they are not good indicators of quality and they would leave out a tremendous number of schools simply due to lack of data (again the research issue.) Here's some on Tulane finance in general. The rankings ARE for the graduate faculty although it's the same folks (for the most part) teaching both levels. The Darwin Fenner and Burkenroad programs as well as the trading courses are all offered at the undergrad levels.

Tulane has an excellent finance department, and a very large alumn base in NYC (helps with Wall Street recruiting). I'd highly suggest checking out the links that were posted concerning the equity research program, Burkenroad Reports, and the energy trading program. Burkenroad is the only program of its kind in the country.

As was stated earlier, Tulane's finance department is superb. All of my friends who majored in finance were able to land jobs at their first choice firm, from BoA to Bloomberg.
