Tulane vs U Miami

Which do you think is easier to get into? What do you think are the pros and cons of each?
My Sat’s are 680 Math, 590 CR, 770 writing. ACT superscore is 30. And I have a very good GPA from a very competive High School. What are my chances for getting in? Should I take SAT’s agsin in hopes of going up in CR?

Tulane is a bit more competitive to get into based on both higher average stats and admission %, although the latter is misleading because of Tulane’s marketing strategy. Their “market saturation” strategy isn’t a bad thing, it is just a different approach than what most schools undertake and so Tulane gets a huge number of apps, lowering the admission %. Still, Tulane is a bit more selective than Miami, but they are very nearly the same for practical purposes.

It would be helpful to know what your unweighted GPA is, the number of AP’s you have and will have by the time you finish high school, and your EC’s. Off hand, if your GPA, strength of schedule, and EC’s are “very good”, as you say for your GPA. then you should be fine without retaking the test. However, if you want a good merit scholarship offer, it would help to get that CR score up.
