I submitted my applications one day late from the deadline, would that affect my ability to get in the universities?
You have to call the schools and ask. It’s not going to help your chances, though. Some schools (Purdue) consider late applications only if they haven’t filled their class with the timely ones.
I’m not sure calling the schools, which would call attention to the issue, is the best approach here. I’d make sure I had at least a couple of schools that I’d submitted on time and that had stats suggesting I’d be accepted-there are many schools with deadlines that have not passed yet and many that have rolling admissions. I would bet that most schools will accept an application that is one day late because doing so allows for various glitches that are not necessarily the student’s fault. Can’t be sure tho. But if you were to call and essentially force the issue, they may be inclined to deny that fact.
The OP can call the main number for admissions and ask a general question without giving his/her name.
