<p>Is anyone on CC turning down H for Penn, and willing to try to explain why?</p>
<p>I have known a few people to do this, so it’s not unheard of.
I have know students to turn down Harvard for Penn for the combined
engineering/business program through SEAS & Wharton (I forget the exact name of the program.)</p>
<p>I know students who turned Harvard down for Wharton or for the combined programs like M&T or Huntsman. </p>
<p>For Wharton because they want to study business, not economics. So they want hands-on applied stuff vs. theoretical.</p>
<p>For the combined programs because they are very prestigious, get you 2 degrees, and therefore open a lot of doors. Also because they offered exactly what the person was interested in combining.</p>
