do teachers hate it when you do it? have you done it? sometimes i do it due to extreme procrastination - i make pen marks on papers i print out - sometimes I even make them during class during the day the paper’s due. i have procrastination problems of course, so printing it out again isn’t really an option

although i’m under the impression that science/math professors may not care as much if they’re papers in a class where most students turn in work by hand (in which case someone who did work by hand would correct it by hand - so correcting the printout isn’t really any different from that)

I would rather have a corrected paper, but I teach developmental English at a CC. You can always ask your instructor this question. Sometimes you read something over and over and over, and then as you sit there waiting to hand it in, something jumps off the page at you. Make the change neatly.

Ah yes, SO true. Sometimes, no matter how many changes I make, there just happens to be yet another change that jumps out. And those changes are often easier to come with the pressure of turning it in.

First of all, don’t procrastinate. I would never turn in a paper with a pen mark. After you print your paper for the final time, don’t look at it and just turn it in.
