We are looking for an all inclusive to go as a family of 2 adults and 2 daughters age 20 and 24. We must go in August (second week) so want to avoidl hurricanes.

Someone mentioned Turtle Beach all inclusive resort in Barbados and I am wondering what others have to say about it…or any other places which are a reasonable trip from NY and have no liklihood of hurricanes/rainy weather.

I was under the impression that Barbados was in the high 70’s to mid 80’s throughout the summer, including August? I haven’t been but I’ve been researching a Caribbean vacation myself and that’s what I’ve been reading everywhere. It’s hotter in Michigan in August. o.O

I also thought that Barbados was high 70 to mid 80…I am just concerned that hurricane rains don’t reach there because August is technically hurricane season.

I have never been to Barbados, but we do go to the Caribbean in the summer. We’v been fortunate and have always avoided hurricanes. When you’re on the beach I actually find it cooler in the Caribbean than it is in New England. Pack a lot of sunscreen.
