Tutors suggestion help

So I am about to start tutoring with a local company that has gotten many very good reviews. The first thing he told me though was that he thinks I should change my may SAT to math 2 and physics subject tests an take the June sat. He said we would tutor for those subject tests after I take a practice test this weekend. He said it would also prepare me for the ap physics test because they are similar tests. If I changed my may sat we would have time to study for both the subject tests and the sat 1

Do you guys think this a smart plan? To change my may sat to a subject test and just take the June sat?

Your tutor is tying your subject tests to the AP dates, which are in May. This is a common practice and, generally speaking, a good idea. If a student isn’t taking APs, that student should target the June date for subject tests, as it’s closer to their finals most likely. Also, taking a practice test beforehand helps both you AND the tutor know what you’re doing well and what you need to improve moving forward. It sounds like he knows what he’s doing. Good luck!
