Anybody see this new cable series? It seems to have an inordinate amount of college references in it, some kind of funny. It’s about a young CIA officer who lives in the DC area. So there are quite a few references to Georgetown.

And in the first episode, some perceptive CIA folks correctly guessed that a young lady in a bar who was wearing an antique Irish ring and a necklace with a cross on it, who had an LSAT study book sticking out of her backpack, and who was downing drinks quickly with no apparent effect, was a Boston College grad.

In another episode, two superficial middle-aged bimbos who were “old Vandy girls” were selling government secrets to a foreign government, and were clumsily setting up a hottie who had “rowed at Colgate” and who was having an affair with one of their husbands, to take the blame. And another lady’s husband was out of work, but he lied to her and told her he was doing impressive-sounding health research at Johns Hopkins when he was actually looking for a job.

Clearly somebody associated with the show has a sense of humor about college stereotypes.
