Anyone aware of this site? Used it to sell or buy? Interesting concept:
https://www.liketwice.com/sell/
https://www.liketwice.com/

Not consignment - if they take your stuff to sell you get the $$ up front - either paypal credit, check or site credit (incentives to choose this option). They will return anything they don’t take for $5 shipping.

Curious. I know some of you have some desirable brands not being wore in your closets. :)

I have sold on therealreal, except they only pay you upon sale. They examined my stuff very well before they took them. All of my things were sold within few months. If this site pays for it upfront, what happens if it doesn’t sell, would you have to return the money?

From what I read (and I admit I didn’t read it all) you don’t. Don’t know how much they give you for each piece though - clearly they will look to make a good bit off of your stuff.

Interesting! I am not familiar with that site. I also used the Realreal - as a buyer. They resell both super high end (Prada, Lanvin, etc.) and contemporary (DVF, Tory Burch, etc.) designer stuff. Also, bought stuff from a local company called Yoogi’s Closet that will consign very high end bags, shoes and some clothing. I bought my gently used WOC from them and was very impressed with the service and professionalism. In addition to consigning, they used to buy popular, in demand stuff upfront - when they knew that the item would sell immediately (like my WOC, which I was stalking on their site for more than a month!). Typically, the cut taken buy the resellers is 30-50% of the sell price. Upfront buying is riskier to the reseller, so the return to the stuff owner would be lower.

If I remember correctly, realreal’s cut was 25%, but it was a while back.
