"Twilex" hip hop on "So You Think You Can Dance"

Anybody watch “So You Think You Can Dance”?

Google “Twilex – Alex and Twitch hip hop” on youtube.

My W watches the show so I see some of it by osmosis. I generally like the hip-hop routines better than any of the others so I’m glad those seem to be done more frequently on that show of late.

^ okay, thanks! I only “get into it” with my kids, and D is just home from her camp job for 36 hours. I’ll have to keep up…or is it over?

I think I’ve watched that Alex and Twitch hip hop six times…I’d probably watch it more if I didn’t think I was too old to be obsessed. If Alex had to go out, it’s terrific that this was his last work. And Twitch - LOVE him…he makes it look like the easiest thing in the world.

The choerography was genious (NappyTabs finally living up to their rep.) The psychiatrist/patient roles are great to account for the difference in size and age.

Missypie, I’ve watched that routine many times, too. It’s amazing. Everything came together–choreography, music, dancing, and personality/connection.

I love Twitch and, although I’m still evaluating how I feel about this new all star format, I’m loving being able to watch more of him. One of my favorite routines from the past was his “Mercy” routine with Katee. (It’s the one with the door.)

I miss Alex and hope he will fully recover and be back on the show next year. He is truly a gifted dancer.

I loved “Twilex”. I loved the fact that Alex was able to put aside his technical perfection and get down and dirty with hiphop. It was a pleasure to watch him let loose and feel the music without focusing so much on the perfection. Well, it was still darned near perfection but less stuffy. IMO–this dance allowed him the freedom to make a connection with the audience. He stole the show that night. Twitch was awesome–so natural and easy flowing.
