My twin son who is at a OOS public got his financial aid package on Friday. I was pretty nervous on this one. First year he was given a flat grant of 5K on top of his scholarships and a sub stafford loan and full need was met. Last year my EFC was flat and even though tuition went up $1,800 the grant stayed at 5K and I saw my first gap in aid. I expected that and budgeted for an increasing gap each year.

Well the big surprise is that they only increased tuition by $800 for next year and they increased the grant to 6K. Now with a higher stafford limit as a Junior the gap is gone again. My EFC stayed pretty flat.

what a relief. hmmmm I think I can take a small vacation this summer now :)

Of course we are still waiting on twin two at the “elite” private. watch that one fall apart LOL
