<p>Can I write one essay for two questions? For example, RPI uses the Common App and a supplement. I already wrote an essay to answer the Common App’s question. The supplement also asks for an essay, but my essay for the Common App fits the supplement’s essay question. Can I use the same essay for both?</p>
<p>That is not a good idea. RPI (or any other school) wants to gain more information about you through the supplement, and you would come off as lazy or confused if you put in the same essay twice. You need to come up with something completely different to answer the supplement (or write a different Common App essay and use the existing one for the supp)</p>
