I’ve gone on some sort of college-related reading binge lately, and thought I would share two books that I especially enjoyed: Chasing Zeroes by Laura Newland, and Young Money by Kevin Roose.

Both are storyrelated to one of the biggest players/influencers on today’s college campus: Wall Street’s investment banks. Chasing Zeroes is much more of an insider’s account of college life–a young woman’s story serves as an expose about the effects of college debt, students’ hypercompetitiveness, and Wall Street recruitment. Young Money, on the other hand, is about what happens once these students wind up on Wall Street, and is a great story of these recruits’ lives in banking. Both books are riveting, story-driven accounts.

You’ve probably seen pieces about both books recently in the press, but here are the links. I highly recommend both if you’re looking for an informative yet easy read.
