<p>The advantage is that the financial aid formula accounts for the number of kids in college at the same time, and reduces the EFC assigned to each child accordingly. This could be a big deal, or no deal at all, depending on your family’s situation (income and assets).</p>
<p>Adding to sblake…it also depends on the school(s) the kids are attending…and the %age of need the schools meet.</p>
