Smart boys! Our future is in good hands.

wonderful - thanks for posting!

neat.

did they learn that from school?

Wow!!! Who knew that kids are paying such close attention to the posters on the wall? What a successful public information program! Made my day.

my elementary school’s cafeteria only had a “got milk?” poster, featuring Andy Roddick with a white mustache. I don’t know why I remember that.

I’m a CPR instructor & I show this video to all my students when we take a short break in the middle of class:

[Vinnie Jones’ hard and fast Hands-only CPR (funny short film) (full-length version) - YouTube](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube)

The app is great - it lets you know if your compressions are the proper depth & timing. (a bit weird to do CPR w an iphone in your hand, but anything to save a life!)

This is so wonderful, on so many levels. The boys took an interest in something they saw on a poster that they decided had value. The mom listened to them when they told her what to do. And it WORKED.

Good video, funny and memorable, nj2011mom. Could make a difference.

Such great news. Glad at least those two boys were able to translate what they saw on cafe poster to action and saved the baby! Thanks for sharing this!

I thought it was awesome

here’s my CPR PSA…

Most children experience cardiac arrest due to respiratory arrest, so you should perform CPR 2 minutes before calling for help. The thought is that you can reverse respiratory arrest on your own.

For an adult, however, the primary cause is generally cardiac (unless you saw them choking) and you need the AED and advanced care, so take the time to call 911 before starting CPR (if you are alone - otherwise direct a specific person to call 911). And, if available, use a landline vs a cell phone, as landlines have the location hard-wired as opposed to a cell phone goes to a mobile phone 911-center.
