Two letters of reference? One academic and one activity related? Major confusion!!!!!

<p>does it have to be from someone in the school?</p>

<p>Can it be from someone outside the school? A govt official has been guiding an NGO I initiated, so she wrote a rec letter. Can I send that?</p>

<p>I don’t think it has to be from someone at your school. My non-academic rec was from someone outside of school. The purpose for requesting the letter is to get a sense of your extracurricular activities - which may involve a significant project (such as your NGO).</p>

<p>i had my ap gov teacher send one and a yoga teacher send another (who also teaches at a school where i teach kindergarteners spanish as part of my spanish conversation class so it was a two for one kind of deal)</p>
