I have a variety of questions I’m curious to know the answers to.
- I am a National Merit Semifinalist. Is there anywhere I can put that on my common application? I don’t think it’s correct to put it on the extracurricular activities.
- Is it generally frowned upon to only take the SAT once? I only took it once and got a pretty atrocious reading score (630 CR, 800 M, 780 W), while many of my friends took it 2 or even 3 times. Obviously taking it multiple times gets you a higher score but will colleges often look at your individual scores from each sitting? (i.e. One time you do a lot better on reading, but worse on math, giving you the same score as you had originally, but a higher superscore).
