Two Questions

I sent three supplements (two online, one by mail) through communication errors with teachers and stuff, but I know Stanford only wants two (although this happened for each of my common app schools). I know they are okay if it’s from a non-academic teacher, but all three teach me academically, although one of them talked about my involvement in a club that she is adviser to. What should I do about this?

Also, the Stanford site says “For traditional-age college students, we will focus our evaluation on your choice of coursework and your performance in 10th, 11th and 12th grades, mainly in the core academic subjects of English, math, social studies, science, and foreign language.” I only took two years of language, neither in the grades of 10, 11, or 12. However, I took as many AP classes as I could. Is this forebode anything?

to your first question, three recs are fine. i had a professor from a summer program send them an extra via snail mail. i believe it says on the last page of the supplement that three recs are alright if the supplemental one if it provides extra info, which i assume it does in your case.

as to your second question, i am not quite sure. in my high school, counselors make it a point to take 3/4 years of a language. however, there is nothing you can do about it now. good luck!

Stanford does not have a required HS curriculum, Just a recommended. You will find most top colleges just Recommend the amount of units you should do. So you are not disadvantaged.

I imagine it’s recommended for a reason though :P. Oh well, no use dwelling over such things that cannot be changed. I’m going to take the Spanish subject test in May, although that will be too late for applications.
