I may be attending a two year college before transfering to a four to complete a bachelors in
philosophy. However, I am not sure what courses I should take at the two year because none of the listed requirements for the major are offered at the community college. Are there certain prerequirements needed for all bachelors degrees I should be taking at the two year? If not, what should I do? Here is a list of the required courses for my major from the colleges website > http://catalogs.rutgers.edu/generate...7/pg20654.html

Most 4 year colleges have what’s called distributional or core requirements that are usually fulfilled during the first couple of years of college. They generally want to see you take a minimum number of classes in the Humanities, Social Sciences and Science. They usually also want you to take some writing intensive and quantitative courses.

Here is the link for Rutgers School of Arts & Sciences (NB campus) distributional requirements:

p.s. requirements for the major can be taken at any time, but most often they are concentrated in the last two years of college, after distributional requirements are fulfilled. As a matter of fact, many people change their intended major because they get interested in another field while they are taking core classes.
