Hello. I’m new to this forum. Emerson College is one of my son’s top choices. We were very impressed by this school when we visited. Of course, Emerson is very expensive, and we are very interested in understanding what type of academic scholarship he might be awarded by them. To give a picture of my son that might help answer the question: He has very good/excellent academic credentials (adjusted GPA 4.05, unadjusted 3.8-3.9ish, and a 1450 combined new SAT with 760 on English; AP English=5, APUSH=5, APEURO=4). He is involved in a few extracurriculars at school such as Key Club, etc. He also has an interesting hobby/job and is a very good public speaker (others’ opinion of him). His interest is in the areas of communications/journalism/broadcasting. Any details on the type of funding Emerson might provide for him (based on historical academic scholarships, other facts, etc.) would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Our daughter, entering Emerson in the fall, received a Pinnacle Scholarship, which is $5,000 per year. It isn’t listed under Academic Scholarships on the website. Had hoped for the larger scholarships or honors program but there were a record number of applicants for 2016 at all of the schools my daughter applied to, so the competition for scholarship money was tight!
