Im Gay, so im looking for a gay friendly school!

You can see ive made a steady progress toward the better! I understand my freshmen and sophmore grades were bad, but I have almost all A’s this year. Which is why im troubled as to know what school will accept me or not? I guess what Im asking for is a list of possible schools. [Reach, Normal, Safety]…Farthest South is DC, and West is Chicago…Im located in the NYC region. Any type, such as Large or Small will do!

THANKS!

You’ll have plenty of choices. Both college board and this site have college-finders based on grades, scores, and majors. Only in the top 40 schools and CC are a B+ and a B “bad”; there are still over 3000 schools in the country. I’m not making any specific suggestions because the schools I know are west of what you want, and more importantly, you haven’t told us what major you’re interested in. Good luck.

You’re doing fine; look good on paper --I would probably suggest Bard, Skidmore, Oberlin. Do the CC search and put in gay/lesbian friendly in search criteria (yes, they have it!). The CC search is actually very good. Also, I like College data dot com to see “chances” --that’s been very accurate so far with my S apps. Good luck!

Hampshire, Sarah Lawrence, Bennington to add some more.

Syracuse, Goucher (MD), Drew (NJ), UMass Amherst, American and Ohio Wesleyan.
