What types of questions are on AP Lit and Comp Exam?
Figure out the main ideas?
Giving the definitions of one specific vocabuary word?

Our class has already taken two past AP MC exams.
You’re given 4 passages–two prose and two poems–and there are like 8ish questions that follow each passage. Some are simple questions about the plot, but they are usually trickier. For example, there might be a question like, “Which of the following describes the tone of the passage as a whole?”–which is harder than it sounds because they don’t pick words like “happy” or “sad”, but more likely words like “satirical,” “didactic,” “despondent,” etc., so they somewhat check that you have good vocabulary through questions like that. Sometimes there will be a question about what something symbolizes, or what the author means by a certain phrase. For poetry, there will sometimes be a question about the form of the poem, e.g. “Which of the following best describes the poem?” and you’ll have to pick from things like “heroic couplets,” “blank verse,” “Terza Rima,” “rhyme royal,” etc. --so, in that regard, they test your knowledge of terminology.
